What Senjab is

Senjab is a personal-finance tracking app. It parses statements and messages you choose to give it, organises them into a ledger, and calculates budgets, goals, net worth, Zakat estimates and investment summaries from your own inputs. It does not connect to your bank and cannot move money.

What Senjab is not

• Not financial advice. Figures, forecasts, suggestions and AI answers are calculations over your own data, provided for information. They are not investment, tax, or legal advice, and you should not rely on them as such.
• Not a religious ruling. Zakat, purification and screening figures are calculations you configure, with the methodology shown. They are not a fatwa. For a ruling, consult a qualified scholar.
• Not a bank or licensed financial institution. Senjab holds no client money and provides no regulated financial services.

Your responsibilities

• The data you import is yours to import — only add statements and messages relating to your own accounts, or accounts you are authorised to manage.
• Check important figures before acting on them. Parsing is tested carefully, but a bank's format can change, and you review every import before it is saved.
• Keep your device and account credentials secure. Anyone with access to your unlocked phone can see what your phone can see.

Accounts and the beta

An account is required to save and sync your financial data, which is also how it is backed up. During the beta the app may change quickly; features can be added, changed or removed. We may suspend accounts that abuse the service or attempt to access data that is not theirs.

Subscriptions

Paid features, where offered, are billed through Apple's App Store under Apple's payment terms. Prices are shown before purchase; subscriptions renew and are cancelled through your Apple account settings.

Intellectual property

The Senjab name, the سنجاب wordmark, the squirrel-wallet mark, and the app's design and software are ours. Your data is yours — we claim no ownership over anything you import or enter, and you can export or delete it at any time.

Liability

Senjab is provided "as is". To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for losses arising from reliance on calculated figures, from decisions you make using the app, or from events beyond our reasonable control. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.

Privacy

How data is handled is described in the Privacy Policy, which is part of these terms.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Qatar, and disputes are subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of Qatar.

Changes

We will update this page and the "Last updated" date when the terms change. Material changes will be announced in the app.
